InfoSec Institute is hiring: Content Acquisition Manager

InfoSec Institute is seeking an energetic and innovative Content Acquisition Manager for our Intense School brand to develop and maintain an industry-leading online publication. You will shape the success for our program’s initiatives by developing and defining the content and publishing schedule. This is a multi-faceted job in a start-up environment where you will be directly rewarded based on your performance. Flexibility, a strong work ethic, and a comfort with performance-based position are essential.

Duties include:

Develop an effective and timely publishing plan to maintain frequent new high-quality content
Acquire high-quality content with multiple articles published daily
Source ideas for articles, work with management for prioritization and see them through to publication and evaluation of success
Solicit and evaluate reports from reviewers
Conduct interviews with industry leaders
Guide authors on edits and revisions
Develop authors/columnists and grow a successful contributor network
Manage industry-recognized subject matter experts with very busy schedules

Basic Qualifications:

BA/BS Required
5 or more years relevant content acquisition experience, preferably with an online component
Strong communication skills, including written and oral communication

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results by influencing and negotiating
Interest or experience in software development and/or Information Technology
Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and an intense customer focus.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong bias for action
Familiar with online publishing applications and tools (WordPress, HTML, CSS)
