About Azure Security Engineer Associate

Students will learn how to implement security controls and threat protection, managing identity and access and protecting data, applications and networks in cloud and hybrid environments as part of an end-to-end infrastructure. They will learn how to maintain security posture, identifying and remediating vulnerabilities by using a variety of security tools, implementing threat protection and responding to security incident escalations.

Explore Microsoft Azure Active Directory. You will start by learning how to create and manage users and groups in Azure Active Directory. You will learn how to use multi-factor authentication with Azure AD to harden your user accounts. You will also learn how to manage app registration.
Implement platform protection

Course - 03:26:00

Learn to implement platform protection. You will learn how to configure, protect and isolate your networks in Azure, from configuring you network in a secure way for virtual machines and containers to managing network security groups and service endpoints to prevent unauthorized network access.
Manage security operations

Course - 01:48:00

In this course, you will learn how to identify threats in Azure Security Center. You will learn how to respond and resolve threats detected in Azure Security Center, and learn how to use Azure Security Center to protect VMs and servers.
Secure data and applications

Course - 01:36:00

In this course, you will learn harden Azure apps and secure data with encryption, certificates and policies. You will get a walkthrough of managing the Key Vault and look at managing storage accounts, configuring authentication related to Azure Files and configuring data security in relation to an Azure app.

He has experience in security monitoring, incident response and Azure security and holds several certifications, including Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Certified Security Analyst (ECSA).

Austin is passionate about learning and is currently studying for his OSCP certification. Before joining the information security industry, he spent seven years in the United States Navy as a hospital corpsman. He holds a bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University and a master's degree in information systems from Robert Morris University. Outside of work, Austin enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs.
